Cold-Pressed Juice
Cold-pressed juice are packed full of nutrients that help your body fight toxins, boost immunity and improve health. There are three ways of making juice, and cold-pressing is the best way to do it!
Centrifugal:
The most used type of juicer. These use a fast-spinning metal blade and centrifugal force to separate the juice from the flesh of fruit and vegetables. Problematically, the blade and force generates heat, which destroys some of the nutrients and enzymes in the juice, lowering its nutritional and health value.
Reconstituted:
The most common type of juice you can buy is not extracted from raw fruit and vegetables but rather is reconstituted from fruit pulp. To create this pulp, companies dehydrate juice by boiling it to evaporate up to two-thirds of its water content. This entire process destroys most of the nutritional and vitamin content of the juice, as well as the flavour. To solve this problem, companies often add flavourants and additives, and then still label it as 100% fruit juice!
Cold-pressed:
On the other hand, cold-pressed juicers slowly crush the fruits and vegetables and then presses them to extract juice. It is a slow and delicate process and ensures that all nutrients and enzymes are retained to give you a juice with a high nutritional and health value.
If you care about your health choose cold-pressed!
Our juicing process starts by carefully selecting fresh, raw fruit and vegetables from local farms. Having high-quality, raw and unprocessed ingredients is key to delivering the best quality cold-pressed juice.
Back at our lab, our cold-press juicers slowly squeeze the raw fruits and vegetables to extract juice in a slow and delicated process that uses no heat, ensuring we get the most out of our fresh produce and to ensure that all nutrients and enzymes are retained.
After the juice has been extracted from our produce, we carefully blend together the juice from different fruit and vegetables, in precise quantities, to give you our unique flavour combinations and the best tasting cold-pressed juice.
Our juice is then bottled and put under a high-pressure process. This process doesn’t use heat, but rather uses extremely high pressures to kill any potentially harmful bacteria in the juice and giving our juice a shelf-life of up to 8 weeks. This process also doesn’t destroy any of the vitamins or nutrients in our juice.
Overall, cold-pressed juice can help you to; lose weight, detox, gain energy, boost your immune system, and improve overall health.
No heat:
The cold-press juice machines don’t create heat and thus retain a higher level of nutrition and health value. Other juicers create heat as the blades mesh the produce which destroys beneficial enzymes as well as oxidising some of the nutrients, reducing the level of nutrition.
No Added Sugar:
Our cold-pressed juices have no added sugars and contain only the juice extracted from the produce. A number of regular juices contain sugar and artificial sugars and colourants which lowers the nutritional profile of the juice.
No Preservatives:
Cold-pressed juice contain no added preservatives or chemicals thus retaining its nutritional value. Most non cold-pressed juices contain preservatives and other chemicals to extend their shelf life.

- how can i prepare for a cleanse?
- what to do during a cleanse?
- what should i do after a cleanse?
Preparation can really help you to reap the most benefits from your cleanse, but also to reduce any initial side-effects. A few days before you start, you should try to slowly ease back on the bad stuff in your diet (e.g., caffeine, alcohol). This may sound difficult, but it will definitely help you during the cleanse. With a little determination and an end goal in mind, it will be much easier than it appears!
You can also try to introduce more healthy foods into your diet during this period. Try to cut back on meat (eat vegetable based meals) and try to avoid simple carbohydrates and starches.
Congratulations on starting your One-Juice cleanse and making the decision to be the healthiest you possible. This is a big step and we back you to finish it!
There are a few things you can do during your cleanse to make the process easier and to reap the maximum rewards:
- Drink a glass of warm water and lemon first thing in the morning after you wake up.
- Try to do a little bit of light exercise each day (short walk or a slow run) and get as much rest as possible.
- Our cleanse includes a probiotic which will give you all the good flora you need, so don’t worry about taking any supplements. Likewise, you’ll get more than enough vitamins and nutrients so don’t take anything extra.
- As you’ll only be consuming liquids during your cleanse, you’ll notice that your digestive system will slow down as it is under much less pressure. This is a good thing!
- If you are feeling completely de-energised and really need some food, you can try a light vegetable broth or a few slices of fresh fruit (a few, not a lot!).
Remember, the first 2-3 days of a cleanse are the hardest. Keep your end goal in sight and keep going. We promise, it will be worth it!
Congratulations on finishing your cleanse. We hope you feel fantastic now that you have cleansed your body, detoxed and have re-energised.
Coming out of your cleanse, it is important not just to jump back into your old habits. Try to start by eating a light diet in the first 3 days after you have finished your cleanse.
Great ideas of things to eat include:
- Smoothies (you can get a box of One-Juice smoothies here)
- Cold-pressed juice (keep including juice in your diet, get a juice box here)
- Fruit or vegetable salads
- Fish
- Steamed vegetables
- Quinoa
- Eggs
- Chicken
Once you’ve got through your 3 days, you can go back to eating and drinking whatever you want. However, we do encourage you to use this cleanse as a way to avoid going back to your unhealthy habits!
